KHIKHUS

 

Comic artist and director

Khikhus is the most famous Russian drawer of comic strips, leader of the movement of comic strips drawers “People of dead fish”, creator of the first Russian festival of comic strips “ComMission”, ideologist of the project “Respect”.

Khikhus is the person who told and showed to the Russian reader-spectator that comic strips are the art, by the way.

He was born in USSR, lived in Denmark, after the collapse of Berlin wall moved to Germany, then returned to Russia. Initially, Khikhus was a poet, and then started drawing. He met best world examples of comic stripes, fall in love with it and helped others to fall in love with it.

First comic stripes of Khikhus – “Red shoes” – aggressive and smart retelling of H. H. Andersen’s  fairy tale. It was translated into 4 languages and published more than 30 times.
