It is important for us to know that celebrities in Russia as well as worldwide support us. It’s important to know they support the ideas of non-violence and respect for every human being regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation.

It's not uncommon all over the world for celebrities to speak out in support of minorities, including sexual minorities. Festivals and forums celebrating diversity are an opportunity for everyone to express their opinion and contribute to the fight against discrimination and homophobia.

Every year we urge concerned musicians to speak out in support for a group of people that are discriminated against and whose rights are not recognized in our country.

This year we continue this tradition and invite all citizens of St. Petersburg and guests of the city to LENA KATINA's concert closing the QueerFest 2012, where musicians and guests of the festival will make a statement in support of ideals of non-violence and tolerance.
